École St. Joseph School Cross Country Run
You are invited to participate in the Annual École St. Joseph School Cross Country Run that will be held here on Wednesday, September 21 with a punctual 4:00 pm start.
The Run will take place at École St. Joseph School as in previous years. Please review the routes with your runners to ensure that they know where to go. A map of the routes is included in the accompanying package.
Coaches are reminded that they are responsible for their athletes while they are at École St. Joseph School.
Each school must pay a $5 fee per participant to enter the Cross Country Run. This is to help offset the cost of medals and banners. The École St. Joseph Parent Advisory Committee will supply hot chocolate again this year and treats for all participants. Cash or a cheque made out to École St. Joseph school will both be accepted.
RACE STARTING TIMES
4:00 pm Boys and Girls 7 and under 1 green lap blue finish line
4:05 pm Boys and Girls 8 & 9 1 red lap yellow finish line
4:20 pm Boys and Girls 16/17/18 1 green lap and 2 red laps blue finish line
4:30 pm Boys and Girls 10 & 11 2 green laps yellow finish line
4:50 pm Boys and Girls 14 & 15 2 red laps blue finish line
5:0 pm Boys and Girls 12 & 13 1 green lap and 1 red lap yellow finish line
SCORING
Points will also be kept for the top three finishers of each race. These points will be added
together to determine a school champion. A banner will be presented to the winning school per division (High School, Middle School and Elementary School) at the end of the meet. Points will be awarded as such:
15 points for first place
10 points for second place
5 points for third place
Medals will also be given to the top 3 finishers of each category, 1st-gold, 2nd-silver and 3rd-bronze
Also enclosed are the race routes. There are two courses, a green course and a red course. Some races cover more than one lap of each course and others are made up of a combination of two different colors.
